By when should I take out the annual international health insurance?
Any time before departure
You can take out the annual international health insurance at any time before you start your trip. The insurance cover begins after payment of the premium for all trips that you book after conclusion of the contract. Insurance cover is provided for trips that have already been booked if you conclude the contract before the start of the trip. If you only conclude the contract after the start of the trip, the insurance cover only applies to the following trips.
How many days am I allowed to travel per trip?
A maximum of 62 days per trip
With the annual international health insurance, you are comprehensively protected on as many trips as you like within one year. The insurance cover per trip amounts to a total of 62 days.
What if the insurance year ends during a holiday trip?
Without cancellation, the insurance cover is extended
The contract will be renewed for a further year if you do not terminate it in writing at least three months before expiry. If the insurance year ends during a holiday trip, the insurance cover automatically continues.
How many people are included in the family plan?
Up to a maximum of 7 persons
In the family plan, you can insure up to 7 persons in total. If you take out family insurance, a maximum of 2 adults and children up to the age of 25 count as a family, regardless of the relationship.
I am travelling by motorhome. Am I then also insured?
Yes, on all types of travel
