If something happens and the trip has to be rebooked or cancelled at short notice, all members should be covered. With our travel cancellation insurance for school trips and clubs, travel groups of 10 or more people are protected against cancellation costs. In addition, we will reimburse unused travel services or additional costs on the outward journey.

Especially when young people travel, it is not uncommon for trips to be cancelled at short notice. Many things change quickly in young people's lives and sometimes travel plans are affected. With travel cancellation insurance for school trips, groups of 10 or more people and their supervisors are covered. If someone falls ill or has an accident before the trip, we will reimburse the cancellation fees of the tour operator or transport company. Cancellation protection applies not only to school classes, but to any group trip for young people up to 30 years of age – regardless of whether it is a club trip, a school trip or a study trip.

Premium benefits

The reasons that can lead to the cancellation of a class trip are manifold: an injury, pregnancy of an accompanying person or serious illness of a relative. Our special travel cancellation insurance for school trips also kicks in if pupils need to repeat a class or have to re-sit important school exams. In the optionally bookable Premium plan, group members benefit from additional cancellation reasons in which the "Club & Class" travel cancellation insurance kicks in.

Our tip: If you are travelling with a group of young people, you should also be well looked after for the time during the trip. With our Cancellation & Travel Protection for Club & Class Trips, all travel participants are also covered on the road in the event of illness, delays, liability or luggage damage.

Cancellation protection for adults

In addition to the travel cancellation insurance, we offer cancellation cover for adults aged 30 and over. The group rate provides optimum cover for travel groups of more than 10 people in the event of trip cancellation at short notice. The premiums are cheaper than if each individual participant would take out travel cancellation insurance. Of course, cancellation protection for groups is also available in combination with a travel protection package for on the road.
